Air Force Command Headquarters issued a press release to clarify the news, “the fire of the managed dormitory for the single retired on Keelung Road, Taipei City.” (February 17th, 2018)

Regarding the news, “three people had been rescued from the fire of the military dependents’ village, and five families in a townhouse had been destroyed,” Air Force Command Headquarters claimed today (17th) that the managed dormitory for the single retired on Keelung Road, Taipei City was on fire with the unknown reason on 12:52, and the fire had been controlled by the firefighters on 13:46. No people were injured and deceased and no other houses had been damaged. The reason of the fire had been investigating by Daan Fire Station. Air Force Command Headquarters also claimed that they would cooperate with Taipei City Veterans Service Office to allocate the retired and also strengthen the investigation to keep the dormitory safe and prevent the occurrence of similar accidents again.
